About the workplace
Uddevalla Adult Education offers vocational training tailored to the needs of the labor market.
We also offer commissioned training.
We are now expanding our teaching team with three positions for the programs “Support Pedagogue in the area of disabilities” (two positions) and “Specialist Nursing Assistant in elderly care” (one position) as well as upcoming commissioned training. The teaching team needs to be supplemented with expertise in disabilities and pedagogical methods within the support pedagogue training, as well as expertise in gerontology, geriatrics, and elderly psychiatry within the specialist nursing assistant training.
Job responsibilities
As a teacher, you will instruct adult students at the vocational level. In addition to teaching, your responsibilities include organizing and developing our programs together with the team, following up on students, and liaising with the labor market. The program lasts 40 weeks full-time, where we meet students three scheduled days a week. We teach two days digitally and one day on-site in our premises at I17.
Some of our success factors are our work in reflection groups with teachers and students. In the teaching team, we are involved in all courses during the academic year, where commissioned training may also occur. We also use mentorship, where we follow each student individually. You will work to ensure that students, through their professional roles, make a difference in people's lives.
Our guiding principles are openness, respect, and professionalism.
